Clueless when it comes to the art of "bro-mance," Paul Rudd is desperate to find a best man for his wedding. He tries to impress his new friend (Jason Segel) but always ends up looking stupid. The harder he tries, the worse it gets. Sure enough, this flick starts out silly, moves on to embarrassing, barrels into painful, and eventually becomes beautiful comedy.
CIA officer Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts) and MI6 agent Ray Koval (Clive Owen) play smooth-talking spies trying to pull off the ultimate con. Having both left the world of government intelligence, they plot to cash in on the war raging between two feuding multinational corporations. Their mission? Secure the formula for a product that will bring a fortune to the company that patents it first.
In 1958, elementary school students stored messages in a time capsule, one young girl's including a sheet of seemingly random numbers. Five decades later, a new generation unseals the capsule. The girl's cryptic message ends up in the hands of young Caleb, whose father (Nicholas Cage) discovers that the message predicts the dates, casualties, and coordinates of every major disaster in modern history. It also foretells future events, the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale.
The Disney family adventure "Race to Witch Mountain," starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, outran superhero blockbuster "Watchmen" to take the top spot with $25 million this weekend.
"Watchmen," an adaptation of the cult comic book series, saw its weekend box office take fall 67 percent from last week to $18.1 million. Nonetheless, pundits and comic geeks alike are expecting "Watchmen" to become legendary; the film's earnings for its first two weeks alone was $86 million.
The debut of horror film remake "The Last House on the Left" came in third place for the weekend with $14.7 million. The refashioning of Wes Craven's 1972 horror thriller stars Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter. TLHOTL fell far short of last month's record-setting horror remake, "Friday the 13th," which raked in $40 million.
The highly anticipated fourth installment of "The Terminator" film franchise is set in post-apocalyptic 2018. John Connor (Christian Bale) is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future that Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus unite on an odyssey that leads them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they discover the terrible secret behind the annihilation of mankind.
A masterpiece. It's The Godfather of graphic novel movies. It burst off the screen with astonishing special effects, mind-blowing suspense and incredible action.
In the first twenty-four hours after it was released, the newest Star Trek trailer has broken records with 1.8 million downloads. Trailer also breaks weekly download record with over 5 million downloads. More
