I was expecting nothing more than a National Treasure rehash with Nicholas Cage playing the same character--except without the patriotic overtones. Instead, I got a complete slap in the face with a film so eager to please the suspense nut as well as the science fiction enthusiast.
An interesting look at the double standards faced by the sexes. It's pretty much a Judd Apatow movie without Judd. (That's not necessarily a bad thing.)
This heist thriller may not be an award-winner at year's end, but for adults seeking a movie that treats them with genuine respect, there are few films that better fit the bill. Neither a generic spy flick nor a conventional romantic comedy, Duplicity is a satisfying unification of the two genres that's very enjoyable, sophisticated and witty.
It's hard to see how this movie fits into the Witch Mountain legacy. Most call this a remake, and yet evidence suggests that this film could remain in continuity with the other films.
