It's the summer of '87 and James can't wait to embark on his post-college dream tour of Europe. But when his parents pull their financial support, James must instead opt for a lowly job at a local amusement park where his nightmare summer turns into an adventure when he discovers love in the most unlikely place.

The year is 1989, and as the star of his high school basketball team, Mike O'Donnell (Zac Efron) has a college scout in the stands and a bright future in his grasp. Instead, he gives it up to be with his pregnant girlfriend. Twenty years later, Mike's marriage has collapsed, he's been passed over for a promotion, his kids think he's a loser, and he's reduced to crashing with his high school best friend Ned. Miraculously, Mike is given another chance when he is returned to his 17-year old life. But while he may look 17, Mike's 30-something outlook is pretty uncool, and, in trying to recapture his glory years, Mike could lose the best things that ever happened to him.
As much as the movie tried to stay close to the actual story, it lacked in terror! If they stuck to the actual story it would have been more horror-ific.
Movies like this make me wish the end of the world would simply come and get it over with, so I don't have to tolerate another silly end-of-the-world send-up.
Funnier than I expected. Not a great film by any means, but worth seeing. You can tell these actors are having a blast, which is why its so fun to watch.
