If anyone hear has already bought the excellent 'Power Tools for
Reason 2.5' book then they will be pleased to know that Kurt Kurasaki
(AKA Peff) is currently working on the revised version that will
cover the new devices found in Reason 3.0. According to a post on the
message board of his own Peff.com website the book is scheduled for a
September release date. On the strength of 'Power Tools for Reason
2.5' I can pretty much guarantee that this will be an essential
purchase for owners of Reason 3.0 who wish to take their usage of the
software to the next level!

(From Amazon.com)
"Power Tools for Reason 3.0 provides insider tips and techniques for
producing music using Reason, one of the world's most popular
virtual - studio programs. This second edition explores the new
features of the latest version, and projects from the earlier edition
incorporate new devices and samples. Revisions in the chapters on
Dynamics Effects and Filters reflect the features added with the
MClass Compressor, Maximizer, and Equalizer devices, while a new
chapter on audio mastering discusses the use of these devices to
improve sonic fidelity. A Combinator chapter discusses new synthesis,
effect configurations, and methods used in the patches from the
updated Factory Soundbank Library. Readers will expand their sonic
palettes by applying the advice of a recognized Reason guru, who
explains the audio concepts behind these effects so readers can
become experts in sound innovation. Power Tools for Reason 3.0
delivers an in-depth understanding of advanced production techniques
to experienced Reason users. The accompanying CDROM features demo
software, custom samples, and original Reason song files."
