I have a copy of the beta big deal. It doesn't save
and it only stays on for I beleive one hour. Let
people have it. In fact I think that propeller head
should let everyone have it. It is not the final
version. Who cares about the law. Down with rules.

I'd say that sharing a beta of anything, when you know there is an NDA
in place for people using it, is probably not cool.
I get that most people who use this group will likely be registered
users, and on the beta waiting list and/or just itching to see a
finished Reason 4 but it's not really showing any respect to the folks
who work at Propellerheads on this stuff to just post unfinished stuff
on the internet for all and sundry. Plus, if this beta is anything
like the previous ones, the programme will be slightly sluggish
because it logs everything you do so that you can send the logs to
Propellerheads if you find an interesting problem.

Hey MoShang...
This was sent to me by a friend - I am not the Beta Tester so I didn't
sign any NDA... BUT if anyone else feels uncomfortable with a Demo of
the New Reason4 on this site, then I will withdraw it immediately. I
await your replies....

----- Original Message ---- From: chipbasschao <chipbasschao@...> To: Combinator@... Sent: Saturday, July 21, 2007 6:16:28 AM Subject: [Combinator] Reason 4 Beta Demo for Windows
Hey Guyz....
Had this sent to me this morning, the NEW Beta Demo of Reason4 for
Windows (sorry Mac Users!!) - I know you Cool Reason Dudes probably
have this already, but for those that don't here's a eSnips Link I set
up:- " http://www.esnips. com/doc/178bd5a2 -9a4f-4104- 83dc-2545ddc35f1 6/
Install-Reason4- Demo-Beta " - The Demo is 83MB in size, doesn't Save
and will run for 60 minutes at a time (not really a problem!) but it's
enough to see what we will be getting next time around. I must admit,
I LIKE it!! The THOR Synth is excellent, the new Arpeggiator is
useful, and the Shuffle Mixer has serious potential. They have also
given the Sequencing/Layout Side of it a major overhaul, and it looks
(and feels) a lot more efficient, plus the addition of a Tools Menu
helps to find stuff in a hurry. I would have liked to have seen more
different Effects, but there are some built into THOR that could be
useful elsewhere. This is a ".EXE" File but I had to rename it because
of eSnips Upload Protocols. Just add .exe to the end and it should
work fine.....ENJOY
PS - All MP3 Demo and Ideas on my eSnips site were written (or
assembled) using Reason. Some are WIPs and some are just Demos for
Forums I belong to. (Nearly!!) All Guitars and Basses are Real and I
use no Loops in my Songs. I'm very much hands on (and Old School) Feel
free to check them out and as always, your comments and criticisms are
welcomed.... .MARK

Finally we have some news. This looks very, very exciting indeed.
We've already some Thor but there's plenty of other new stuff coming
including a major overhaul of the sequencer. Point your browser's to
the Prop's site IMMEDIATELY :-)

I've been betatesting the Abbey Road Keyboard Refill for quite some time
and finally it has been officially announced! Check it out at

The Hammond organ is so cool! :)
These are strictly Ambient in nature and very Soundscapish overall. So if you're not into that kind of music you'll prob'ly want to ignore them. I don't do all my music with Reason. I do use other methods as well... hardware oriented as well as VSTi oriented. But the two examples I listed use Reason 3.0 (with a Oxygen8 as a controller). I've been makin' tunes for a few years now, and have just recently started using Reason and I like what it's capable of.
So, yeah... post a response so I can get to know what everyone's into....
Man... I can NEVER get myspace pages to load on my connection. I use WinXP SP2, IE7 on a PIII w/512MB ram (Iknow, I know... that's prob'ly my whole problem right there) but never-the-less the pages never load. I just get the top banner/bar and then nothing. Refresh never works... I get nothing. It just goes "waiting for......." and nothing happens. It's very frustrating 'cause I know several musos who use myspace and i can't check out their stuff.

Or Restation as it seems likely to be known is almost (finally) here
thanks to Reason Station creator, Tjin.

Been a long time coming but Reason Station has long been one o the
best online resources for Reason related stuff. Excellent to finally
see the update nearing completion.
