Er vi sikre på at de der er kvalificerede også har meldt sig??

Subject: Update on BCs

Dear all,

I am listing below the present situation on the BCs - I do know that there
are some more in the post to me and this is not the final figure, but I
would like to remind you all that the extended closing date was 1st
September.

There seems also to be some misconceptions about the position of the BCs in
the scheme of things. In accordance with the proposal and the rules, the BCs
are ADVISORY bodies on breeding and registration rules which concern their
own breed.

Should a BC want to make a proposal about their breed and providing that 2/3
of the BC members are in agreement, such a proposal is to be sent to the
relevant commission for them to bring to the GA if they also agree.
According to the rules a BC is not eligible to forward proposals to a
Commission unless it has members from at least 6 different FIFe Members.

At the beginning it is presumed that the BCs will organise themselves,
probably with the aid of a BC e-mail list, to exchange ideas and views on
their breed. I would think that they will want to discuss the FIFe proposals
each year - those that are relevant to their breed - so that they can
inform their delegates.

I do hope that there is no confusion between joining a BC e-mail list and
actually applying for membership of the BC. I say this because I see there
are people on the lists that have not applied.
