i've confirmed with Colin Smith and Marlowes Methodist Hall that the
talk will go ahead now on 28th July wednesday evening. i'll need
helpers to set up. i've booked the hall from 7pm to 11pm. So some
volunteers can come along to help me set out the chairs or tables (cos
i'll be selling some choc prolly) and to help clear away again after
colin's finished talking. i've put him down to talk 8pm to 10pm and we
can have a break in between i'm sure.
So now it just remains to do a press release and invite loads of
people. i like to offer it on a ticket basis becuase that way if
people pay to come along and they don't turn up we won't lose out
altoghether. Colin Smith does these talks for charity anyway so any
money collected will go to a worthy cause.
i think £3.00 might be a good asking price. £1.50 concessions.
Ofcourse anyone who volunteers to help me set up can get in for free.
it would be good if we could get some councillors along and maybe
either tony mcwalter or any of the prospective candidates to say a few
words.
i'll ask Jonathon Foster if he'd like to come along and anyone else he
feels he could invite.
Next Friends of the Earth meeting is on Monday? i'll see most of you
then.
Regards
Francois Henderson
