Dear fairtraders,

On 19th January at the full council meetings, councillor maureen
flint proposed a motion asking the council to support fairtrade. This
included buying fairtrade tea and coffee, supporting it's promotion
and investigating other ways of support.

The council passed the motion unaminously. hurrah!

Councillor maureen flint is now leading a committee to look at
implementing the recommendations. i'm not sure how dacorum fairtrade
fits in yet but i'm hoping we can at least work with the council on
new initiatives.

A photo opportunity would be good now with a press release, anytime
between now and fairtrade fortnight.
