Dear all,
i've invited the Cooks Delight in Berkhamstead.

Although i didn't get a direct reply from the proprieter les, they
seem to be keen although saturday's is a difficult day for them. Why
didn't i think of inviting them before ? i guess i've been pre-
occupied. Anyway i'm sure most of you know that cook's delight is all
organic and they insist all fairtrade. I don't know if he'll be able
to make on the 13th but he's definetaly going down for the World Fair
Trade Day which is on the 8th May. This is another date we should
keep for our diaries. This is where the fairtrade directory comes in.
i had started writing one, but didn't get around to finishing it. We
need to start looking up producers and traders in the local area.
i spoke to jonathon foster the dacorum environment forum, i'm on
their email list and i promised to circulate an email with the event
details to all the members. It's also occured to me that the
environment forum members themselves could probably come up with a
list of organic, local producers and fair traders. Would be a good
idea to ask them.
i'm getting worried about the availibility. i've been meaning to
write up the minutes of the meeting and i knew it was going to be
crucial to circulate the floor plan with the stalls on it so that we
didn't overbook. Marion has found some farmers market invitees, five
she says now. i have a nasty feeling we're going to run of tables
already.
Catherine, everybody, the meeting will be at the OLD MILL
BERKHAMSTEAD. Tel: 01442 879590
Fax: 01442 870732
They'll direct you or fax you a map hopefully.
Meeting to start at 7:30pm
