I know it was me that encouraged Mel to go for a weekend at Dunstable
but we were only looking at a forth weekend at that stage.
And yes, I am very pleased to be able to go fly at Cranwell as it is
the nearest club to me of all the ICL clubs (including my own).
However....

I am going to struggle to put together full teams (and crews) for
five whole weekends - we have regional and national
comps,taskweeks,x.c training weekends etc. etc. to fit around. Club
gliders are already committed to some of those events and pilots have
time problems committing to entire weekends just before or just after
another event.

If we do decide to go for eleven possible ICL comp days on 5 weekends
then I suggest we will need to relax the max days/pilot rule - to
say 5 or 6 days/pilot?

BTW I agree that while forecasting is not a precise art, it is
relatively easy to tell if the next two days are going to be good
comp type days or no hopers - driving a hundred odd miles to 'maybe'
fly a 100km triangle in 25kts wind and 2000ft cloudbase is not as
attractive as it used to be to people who value their time highly,
unlike us dedicated team captain types.
