Re dates for 2006...trying to do the normal juggling act of avoiding clashes, other comps and not having back to back dates....Aim is to get 5 events, diary looks like this:
May 6/7/8 (first bank holiday) Hus Bos I/C (Adrian pls confirm)
May 13/14 Free (but don't really want 3 w/e back to back)
May 20/21 Saltby I/C
May 27/28/29 (2nd bank holl) (non-interclub comp being held at Saltby, so Saltby and our team are unavailable)
June 3/4 Gransden I/C? (Colin, as requested an early date, pls confirm which weekend is better)
June 10/11 Alternative date for Gransden? (note to me, this is the Aerobatics comp at Saltby)
June 17/18 Free
June 24/25 Free
July 1/2 Free
July 8/9 Free
July 15/16 Free
Rupert, which date is best for Dunstable? Ged, pls confirm status re an event at Cranwell (assuming that NUGC may/will have a team but will not host a seperate event)
I am in the process of contacting 4C to see if they want to enter a team. Will worry about offering them an event once I know about Cranwell.

Hi all,
It's dark, damp and dismal...time to start thinking about the ICL for 2006! Firstly let me say many thanks to Russell, who has done a stirling job in coordinating our league for the last 100 years or so, in between minor medal winning and/or record breaking secondary tasks! I have offered to take over this role from Russell for the coming season and in turn am handing over my reins as Saltby captain to Paul Machacek, who I think most of you know. If any of you have an issue with this (the former, not the latter!) then please shout.
There are three things I think we need to do in the near future.
1) Start looking at dates for the 2006 league.
2) Continue the discussion we started at Saltby, re the rules and aims for 2006
3) Clarify which clubs/teams are part of the league in 2006 and who the captains are.
To make life easier, esp as things like captaincy etc does get moved around, I have started up a yahoo group for us. This benefit of this is we can easily add people who are interested and perhaps more importantly have a central repository for all interested parties and files / rules / scores etc. The group can be found at:
