Hi all,

I understand that this weekend was a double scrub. At the Gransden round it was
said that as we had had two scoring weekends that would be sufficient to not
trigger the reserve round at Dunstable. I am now hearing rumours that we will
have the Dustable round.

Is there a criterion for a decision or anyone care to make one?

All the best,

Julian

Hi All,

At Wittering it was voiced by some that with only 3 scoring days this
year we were a little light on comp days. It was decided that it
should be discussed in this forum this week and a decision made
before the end of the week.

I am happy to stage the reserve weekend but I must have a decision by
Friday otherwise I will not have the time to get things organised. I
also do not want to stage the event if only a couple of other clubs
are going to turn up so I would like the commitment from all clubs
that they are sending a team.

My comment to date would be that it is now Tuesday afternoon and
there appears to be little appetite for wanting to go ahead, so
unless I see otherwise I will assume the reserve weekend is NOT required.

Good Luck HUS BOS at the final, but check to make sure Miriam hasn't
let your tyres down.

Mark.

I think we in Cambridge would be able to get a team together but I will have to know by the end of the week.

Mark and others

Sorry not to get back to you until today however I wanted to gauge views at HUS during the weekend.

The upshot is that I think we will have difficulty providing a team, as some were willing to commit themselves to a final event, but were reluctant to have another weekend of wet weather..! I would be short on numbers at Dunstable and, if it is another poor weekend, might have difficulty persuading pilots for a final event.

I think the idea mooted at the time was good, however I won’t be sending a team to Dunstable.

Regards

Could we therefore have a decision as to whether or not the event will be going ahead?

At this late stage I can not see us at Cambridge being able to raise a team for
next weekend. For me the cut off was late last week but will go along with the
majority.
