Well, the main problem of course is that nobody has a board rubber these
days and the magic pens used for writing on the interactive white boards are
too lightweight to be effective. You could use the projector's remote
control I suppose but the cheap bits of technology would probably shatter on
impact.
On a serious note it was never 'acceptable' of course to throw board rubbers
but not so many years ago parents would have been reasonable about that sort
of thing rather than now when, I think anyway, they seem to look for every
opportunity to sue the school/teacher. While I'm sure we all appreciate that
political correctness is well intentioned as usual things go too far. My
wife, who is still in the whiteboard jungle, now has to do all her marking
in green ink because her education authority decided that red was too
aggressive a colour.
