Edmund,
This has been a very busy few weeks for me. My daughter graduated in
December with a BSc in Environmental Science (outstanding senior for her
department) with a minor in chemistry. Graduation is a big deal here, so
the whole family this side of the Atlantic was present. Now she's just
starting into her PhD. Then there were three family Christmases, three
family New Years and a whirlwind three day tour of the deserts and
canyons of southeastern Arizona with a bird/plant nerd friend of mine
from Indiana.
Next my co-author is arriving to work on our book/s and I'm sorting
through around 7000 pictures to pick the best for publication. Plus I
have to do the taxes for my business in Indiana, which includes plant
inventory. (Fortunately my sister-in-law here in Tucson is a tax
accountant so I just have to get everything together and give it all to
her to sort out!) At least when I look out of the window it's sunny, and
I know it's reasonably warm.
Which all keeps me in shape and the little grey cells functioning. I
hope everyone else out there has had a good start to the new year.
Hilary.
