Andy is away at the moment Alan and if he does not reply until he gets back
let me just agree with you. My like Andy's abiding memory of those times is
as you say Rawhide but we looked forward to something else when Rawhide was
on...we always had bangers and mash at home. Funny what you remember.
Take care, Geoff
Andy (Lambert),
Sorry to hear about the death of Julian Proudman.
I didn't know him when I was at Elliott in the !950s
and early 1960s, but I sat next to him at lunch at the
last school reunion and we shared a few memories of our
school days.
My wife sometimes wonders why I take such an interest in
the school. It occupied a very important chapter in my life
with a lot of memories to go with it.
The music of the time was like the sound track of the television
series 'Happy Days'.
I used to enjoy walking home from school knowing that Mum would
have the tea on the table not long after I walked in. Also looking
forward to watching television after I had done my homework.
Such things as 'Wagon Train' and 'Rawhide' were on then at a
time when there was only one BBC channel and one ITV channel
both in black and white.
Sadly Mum and Dad have now passed away but the memories remain.
See you all again at the next reunion.
Best Wishes and Kind Regards
Alan
