I also remember Miss Wade and in fact she was our form mistress in the first
year I think. She was lovely and as a very drab 12 year old wished I could look
like her. Oh well some things never happen no matter how long you wait. We
must have been in the same class I think. I was there between 1957 - 1962 as
well. What was the name of the very strict Science master? I remember him
saying on our first lesson. "I don't want you to burn yourselves using the
bunson burners. It's not that I care about you but I just can't stand the smell
of burning flesh"!!

remember both Mr Mackee and the science teacher who by your description is Mr
Parsonage.Miss Wade was lovely and the two male teachers were great.Mr Mackee
got me to read music ,a little ,and to play the recorder and I always enjoyed Mr
Parsonages lessons even if he was strict.Im trying to remember you Lynda.Did you
wear glasses as a child and were you sea sick during a very rough crossing on a
day trip to France? If the answer is yes to these questions then I do remember
you.
