William as I live and breath !!!!
Of course I remember you, as will Don and a few others no doubt.
I can remember coming up to your flat on a couple of occasion and
having scrambled egg on toast for tea.
Sadly there are not many of us 'Southfieldights' corresponding. I
have seen Janet Ralph (from above the bread shop off Replingham) at a
reunion, but Ingram Staples and a few others, are totally missing. As
Don said, probably locked up in an institute somewhere :-)
You may recall I was friendly with Dorothy Ellis, who lived just
across the road from you (at the end of Bodmin Road). I do
corresponded with her out side of this group and she is well.
Although as you may have picked up from the papers, she had a
terrible misfortune a short while ago.
I also went to see Pete Green in concert when he visited Portsmouth a
few months ago. Very sad (actually brought a tears to my eyes), but
he did seem to be enjoying himself.
So what have you been doing ? 'Falling of motorcycles' does not seem
right. I seem to recall you were working with them in some
professional capacity - Perhaps racing.
Anyway let have all the gossip and thanks for contacting the group.
Regards Andy
