DUNCAN-KEMP, A. M. Our
Channel Country, A&R, 1961.
Duncan-Kemp published a number of books in the early and mid twentieth century
recounting her experiences growing up amongst the local indigenous population
which quite often include very interesting insights into the local birdlife as
part of the indigenous culture. These books are out of print now but make for
good reading if you can get hold of them. Duncam-Kemp is also featured in Lukin
Watson, Pamela (1998) Frontier lands and pioneer legends: how pastoralists
gained karuwali land, Allen and Unwin, Sydney
