Exercised as I am over the Marine conservation bill and of the access to
the coast one I am concerned again about the rights to forage. In a
discussion with someone on our seaside foraging it was pointed out how simple
it
would be and apparently how "logical" to exclude foaraging in the sea or on
the land as was done for land activities on CROW land thereby cancelling our
rights to blackberries etc which you could previously gather legally even
if you were trespassing.
I am sure there are enough mean spirited people to welcome the end of "free
food" and " something for nothing" to get this through. Conservation once
again by those who haven't the slightest feel for the countryside or the
coast.
