I will agree with what you say but, mankind is always making rules for other men
to obey, rightly or wrongly. I am an OAP and have spent my life within the
coast area. I only ever took what I could eat from the beach, I had a hand
trawl net, shrimps were my target. Now they are taking tractors out with 50
feet wide nets and dragging up the coast. Boats from Spain are trawling the
irish sea, there is so much activity on the inshore fishing industry that it is
becoming manic. The norwegans have the answer and that is to exclude certain
areas of the sea from any, I repeat any fishing at all to let it regenerate.
This should be done all round the coast and if the politicians got their fingers
out it would be !!!!! Ian Macleod
