Hi Scott,
I've watched "Autumn Sonata" twice in Italian by VHS.
I think it's a great movie & Ingrid Bergman plays an "heavy role" for herself honestly.
The dialogues are pretty harsh and Liv Ulmann has a good match with Ingrid. They are both superlative in that movie!
Honestly when I watched it I've been pretty much disappointed by the end of it...
I mean: what about the love & peace between mother & daughter? What about forgiveness?
The mother (Charlotte) understood her own mistakes, why the daughter didn't forgive her?
I've also watched " The seventh seal" and "The place of strawberries" by Bergman. They are great movies. The one I prefer after "Autumn Sonata" is "Scenes from a marriage". As you'll have understood I like Liv Ulmann and love Ingrid!
No, Milan is not a so big city. Rome is bigger! My loved one is NYC!
May I ask you where are you from?
