Unique photos from Bergman’s 1940s and 50s
Face to Face has been provided with around sixty photographs from Bergman’s productions at Göteborgs stadsteater and more than a hundred from Sagoteatern and Studentteatern.

Newly written texts document several important Bergman plays, from Ibsen’s The Wild Duck (1972), Strindberg’s Miss Julie (1985) to the opera version of Euripides’ The Bacchae (1991).

The Bergman DVD library continues to grow

At the end of May Swedish distributor Folkets Hus och Parker will release It Rains on Our Love (1946), Ship to India (1947) and Brink of Life (1958), three Bergman films never before distributed on DVD. The editions will include English subtitles. Read more.

The English broadcast company has obtained the rights to Marie Nyreröd’s awarded Bergman documentaries, Bergman and Cinema and Bergman and Fårö. Read more.
