Subject: [Have_Bike] Serious incident

Hi everybody

There was a very serious incident on a Havering CTC ride late afternoon
today,when two riders (not me) where returning home after a very
enjoyable ride out to West Hangingfield. The riders where cycling along
St. Marys Lane coming from West Horndon when a white van over took them
and shot our Runs Sec David Rowlands in the leg with a air rifle. David
wasn`t seriously hurt but he was very shaken up. Both riders made the
mistake of not calling out the police even though they had taking the
van`s number. David called the Romford police only after he had reached
home in Dagenham. The police wasn`t very happy that they weren`t called
out earlier.
Let`s hope the police catch these idiots very soon.
