Hello David.
One of the council's planned actions from the recent meeting was to get
a half-page or so in Living.

Thanks, Daniel...are you planning to involve the local Press and
'Living' to mount a public support campaign? I think that the Press
would welcome it.
Regards
David

As discussed an update on Sustrans Connect2. I hope this information
is useful.
Connect2 is now in the final four projects competing for a single
grant of £50 Million as part of the Big Lottery Fund’s: The People’s £50
Million Contest (formally Living Landmarks).
There are six schemes across London, including Bermondsey, Tower
Hamlets and Miles End, Islington, Croydon and Paddington, bidding for
£3million from the Big Lottery.
The other three projects Sustrans Connect2 are competing with are,
‘The Black Country as an Urban Park’, ‘The Edge at Eden’ and ‘Sherwood:
The Living Legend’. Details of all the schemes can be found at
www.thepeoples50million.org.uk.
A televised programme on Connect2 will be shown on ITV1 at 11pm on
Tuesday 4th December, the phone vote will be open from Friday 7th until
Monday 10th December.
Help support Connect2:
1) Vote online for Sustrans Connect2 from 9am on Monday 26th
November 2007 at http://www.thepeoples50million.org.uk/
2) Register your support on the website at
www.sustransconnect2.org.uk
3) or Text Connect2 to 80010. Connect to will then be able to keep
you updated about its progress towards TV vote in December
