Re: [Hospitalplayspecialists] Re: questions about the course
Hi shelly
I had hep B, when i asked to do placement at an hospital they wanted to check my health they asked by GP, the things they needed to know. io know when i went for an interview they did says i might have it. But again i think thats depends on if you already had it and on your health too. Talking about injection last week i observed a child whi had to have blood taken out. I would really recommed you get a place in hospital so you can build you confidence on her weakness, becasue if you not about injection the children will pick up on it.

Hi Shelly
ALthough you don't have to to be vaccinated for Hep B for the course i really do recomend you do have it for your own protection. It's passed in all body fluids
and in is suggested that all people who work with any care group should have it. Also if you get a post in a hospital they will definatly want you to have it.
Here comes the bad news, sorry it is a course of 3 injections followed by a blood test to see if you have gained immunity, possibly followed by a booster. Then you are required to have a booster every 5 years, but believe me you really don't want to risk catching Hep B.
Good Luck
