So you have been a fan for a long time Georgette? I have absolutely no doubt I will like the c.d.
I first saw them live at Eden Court in 2003 when they were playing most of the tracks from Long December Nights before it was released.
I love your idea of bringing them over to play at your funeral. Hopefully you would be floating above somewhere and would hear them play. I first heard Leaving Stoer played by my daughter on the clarsach, she was taught it at a workshop in Skye and it was a few months later when I was given Redpoint that I realised Ivan had written it. It is an absolutly beautiful tune and I have been asking her for years to learn The Rose of St Magnus as it is lovely too.-------one day.

I'll jump in here and say that knowing the music from the original cassettes, I can guarantee that you'll love Volume Two as much as Volume One.
As for the questions you ask, I'm at a disadvantage being from the States. I did get to see them in a duo setting, gosh, it was years ago now, at the Cambridge Folk Festival. They were soooo good! I still harbor hope that they may one day tour here.
I need to get my will in order, and I'm seriously considering arranging that money be set aside to fly Ivan and Duncan over, so I can have them play "Leaving Stoer" at my funeral. I could die happy if I knew they were going to play that at my funeral. I think that answers several of your questions all at once!
