THE MIZ-MAZE. Women's Pagan-Christian dialogue, Saffron Walden,
Sunday October 7th, with Prudence Jones and Cynthia Capey. No charge.
Mazes and labyrinths are deeply symbolic to both Pagans and
Christians.
Their imagery, enfolding an inner mystery with powerful spiritual
connotations, has obvious relevance to feminine symbolism. Myths and
legends bear this out, and Christian symbolism sees the maze as the
winding
path to salvation, the road to Jerusalem. What does the maze mean to
us
today, as modern women from different spiritual backgrounds?
Meet at 10-30 at the turf maze on Saffron Walden common (multimap:
Ashdon Road), and walk - or dance! - the maze. Then share and
explore our
experiences and their meaning, and definitely visit a pub for lunch.
In the
afternoon those who would like can pit their wits against the puzzle
maze at
Bridge End Gardens.
