Interested in the relationships between FAITH and CLIMATE CHANGE?
This is an invitation to a meeting called 'Beyond Akashi' (Beyond the Sky) on Saturday 12th April. It would be really great if some of you are able to come along.
The Akashi project has been working in Cambridge and the Eastern region, engaging Faith groups and cultural groups on the topic of climate change. Some of you will have attended a meeting or come along to the Akashi festival last October.
The meeting this Saturday is a discussion workshop for participants of the Akashi Project, to show you our new poster exhibition (which some of you are featured in!) and also answer the question of WHAT NEXT?
PLACES ARE FREE OF CHARGE WITH REFRESHMENTS INCLUDED. But PLEASE book to reserve a space.
The Akashi project finishes in its current form in April, as Cambridge Carbon Footprint's funding for the project finishes. We would love to know more about what groups like yours would like from Cambridge Carbon Footprint and other environmental organisations in Cambridge.
- Would you like visits from groups who can help you save energy - and thus money - in the home?
- Would you like to explore what your faith / cultural background teaches on environmental issues in an interactive session faciliated by Cambridge Carbon Footprint?
- Would you like to hear about funding that may be available for an environmental project for your group or for your home?
- Would you like another community festival like the Akashi festival?
- Would you like to start up a car-sharing organisation? Or a gardening project?
- Would you like to hear from from groups who promote allotments / reuseable nappies / composting? Do you have any other ideas?
We're hoping you can help us answer these questions and that we can help put you in touch with the right organisations to make some of these dreams a reality.
