Fri 23 February Inter-Faith Discussion  Faith & "Miracles", 19:45 for 8pm-9:45pm

According to The Encyclopedia of Religion (1987), miracles are "events,
actions and states taken to be so unusual, extraordinary, and
supernatural that the normal level of human consciousness finds them hard
to accept rationally."   Most (perhaps all?) faith traditions include
examples of miracles.   Sometimes reports of miracles serve to strengthen
faith.   On the other hand, people with a materialistic view may be
reluctant to believe in miracles at all.   People who are ready to
believe in miracles may believe simply that "God" intervened.   Others
may believe that spiritual understanding can override material "law" on a
reliable basis.
The discussion  will be introduced by David Wilman, who had a career in
Agricultural Science, is a student of Christian Science, and is currently
taking a Masters course which considers Eastern and Western perspectives
on the body.

Free of charge - donations are welcome

Sun 18 March: 'The Prophet Mohammad: A Christian Appreciation, 11AM

The 11.00 service at St Edward's Church will be part of the Odyssey series, when the preacher will be the Reverend Dr. Marcus Braybrooke, President of the World Congress of Faiths. He will speak on 'The Prophet Mohammad: A Christian Appreciation'. There is an urgent need for Christians and Muslims to understand one another better, so this should be a very helpful occasion.
VENUE: St Edward's Church, Pea Hill (between Guildhall and King's College, Cambridge city)

P.S. from Ralph: Only now I managed to enable members of this group to post messages directly themselves and make them publicly visible.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS

By Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar, M.Sc.
144, Hamilton Road, Reading RG1 5RE, United Kingdom Tel. 0118 962 3200

Like the Virgin Birth of Jesus, it was a miracle but the once born
men of flesh can only believe what they can see with their two naked
eyes. For example, Simon Peter was a man of flesh and it were the
marvels of miracles that pleased him the most.

For a detailed discussion on such a topic it is essential that we
understand the three types of Labourers and not disciples that
constitute the Church of God. Jesus in Matt.13.33 has stressed
this: "The Kingdom of God is like unto Leaven ("Agape"), which a
Woman ("Holy Spirit", the Mother of "common sense") took and hid in
three measures of flour (three types of Labourers), till the whole
(Church of God) was leavened (was glued together by Agape, the Devine
Love)". Flour, which is the body of Jesus, was not leavened or
biased against any views, Jewish or non-Jewish, race or tribe.
Hearts of such a member of congregation are like those of the little
children who are not biased but open-minded. This is demonstrated in
Luke 24-13 to 33 where two men were travelling to Emmaus and Jesus
appeared among their company to know the matters of their hearts.
Therefore, the Bread that Jesus broke at the "Last Supper", the
Baptism of Jesus in Holy Spirit, was not leavened meaning that His
disciples would be "open-minded". University students minds are
leavened with the views of their Professors, the blind guides/Supper
Donkeys carrying Holy Books. Otherwise, no degrees for the students.

The three types of Labourers that you come across in a Church of God
are:-

1. Holy sons - Men of flesh, BAE MUKH, who can understand only the
things of flesh. Simon Peter before receiving his Wage of the "Holy
Spirit" at Pentecost was a typical person of this type. They are also
like the "foot-paths" over which the Seed ("His Word") falls. They
are incapable of understanding His Word except through the grace of
God as stressed by Jesus when He asked Peter what you think of me.
He replied that you are the Christ of living God. It was a
revelation to Peter.

2. Holy fathers - Doubting men of spirit, SUNN MUKH, who
understand "His Word" but they do not develop enough "faith" to be
convinced of God? Their faith in God is as deep as the rocky soil
and by nature they are very inquisitive or testing types. Thomas was
a typical example.

3. Holy ghosts - Men of faith, GUR MUKH, who are predestined of God.
They have full faith in God but sometimes the worldly temptations,
DUBDA, stand in their ways like thorns to choke the fruit of their
Labour, the faith or Oil that is required in the Lamps to sustain
Wait for Father to Marry. Such wise Labourers do not either want to
see the miracles or test the powers of God before believing in "His
Word".

Now, in Christ/Satguru Jesus/Nanak our covenant is of "holy
spirit"/"Surti" and not of the "letters" or law. Thus, we have
Eternal Life in our Eternal Father, God/Akal Purakh and this
truth, "sons like the Father", is easily accepted by the predestined
men of faith but the other two need convincing. So, Jesus had to
appear in His Astral Body to convince them of the nature of this
Spiritual State in which He could appear and disappear at Will and
yet having all the characteristics of the physical body.

This Astral Body of Jesus was different from His earthly physical
body in that all could not see except those whom Jesus wished to show
Himself up. Thus, the clever and unbelieving people like the Judas
Iscariot, the Pharisees and Sadducees, whom John, the Baptist refused
to baptise and termed them as a "brood of vipers", could not see
Jesus in His Astral Body as they used to see Him in the earthly body
before His crucifixion on the Cross.

Further, Jesus in His Resurrected state never preached His disciples
as the "Last Supper", which was also His Baptism of Labourers in Holy
Spirit, Judas Iscariot excluding - remember the Parable of the
marriage of the Son in which a man who was not "properly dressed" was
cast out into hell, was the Finishing Touch to His earthly Ministry.
Therefore, in the resurrected state Jesus came to re-assure His
Labourers of His ever presence among, and care of them. Thus, Jesus
being the Head of His Church of God looks after His Labourers as He
did in the miracle of Saul on Damascus road.

Now, the rising of Jesus on the Third Day was like the Sun rising in
the East in the Morning to dispel the "fog of falsehoods, KOORR" that
develops during the night (religious Darkness) and for this reason,
the resurrection of Jesus is called "Easter". Although there were
many Sons of God, the Suns or SURAJ, but Jesus and Nanak were the
Special anointed Sons of God.

Rabbis in the Middle East teach the moral laws of Moses, the Moon and
the same is true in the East where the moral laws of Shri Ram Chander
Ji are taught by the Brahmins/Pandits. "Chand" stands for Moon, so
Shri Ram Chander Ji or Moses of India was the light of Moon, a
witness to the Light, Sun or God. Further, the Hindu
Temples/Synagogues face towards East so that the very Source of
Light, that is to be kept in mind on making the moral laws, is not
forgotten. Unlike the Scriptures, the Oral Torah, is preached
through discussions to people who are fully devoted to God and deal
not in Mammon. Thus, the Rabbis/Pundits used to do only the
religious duties and no secular duties. They would leave their
families for performing spiritual services to their congregations.

Thus, we had lunar months in Rabbis/Pandits but we have solar months
in Jesus or the Apostles/Nirmallae Sants. And this is the Age of
Christ, Satguru MATT WAILA. In order to honour the First anointed
Christ Jesus ushering in the New era, Resurrection event could be
nothing else to be known as than "Easter" to usher in the Age of
spirit and to honour Christ Jesus into the world. Christ/Satguru
Nanak Dev Ji was the Second anointed Christ as predicted by Christ
Jesus and He was the Greatest of all the Christs. There were Four
Prophets in this Kalyug; two in the Middle East and two in the East.

Thus, any one who comes between man and God is an antichrist as every
one of us has to give his own account to God. Popes and dog-collared
priests are typical examples of antichrists.

Also, Islam is the submission to the Will of Allah as Jesus came to
do the Will of our Father and not His own. Such an Islam is of Sun
and is termed INSHALLAH. It is Sharia-free as the Word of God is
Universal whilst Sharia is not universal and it varies from country
to country.

"HOLY SPIRIT (common sense) SHATTERS THE FETTERS OF LETTERS AND,
THEREFORE, ESTABLISH YOUR COVENANT WITH JESUS IN HOLY SPIRIT TO
RECEIVE GOSPEL AND NOT IN THE DRY LETTERS OF THE BIBLE/BOOKS"

Ch. Rajinder Nijjhar, M.Sc.
A Jatt of the United Greater Panjab,
Gnostics are the living christs (satgurus) and NOT Christians, of
Living God (Spirit),
Remember that to your Three Gurus mother, father and Pandit, you
render money,
To your Satguru Nanak Dev Ji/Christ Jesus, you render your MUNN
or "mind" AND,
To your Sachae Paatshah Gobind Singh Ji, you render your TANN
or "physical body" as sacrifice.
SACH is bitter but it leads you to heaven whilst SATT is extremely
bitter but it leads you to ANAND/Salvation.
Falsehoods or KOORRS are extremely sweet, MAKHAEON MITHHA, but they
lead you to Hell.

dear Inter-Faith Group subscribers,

I am sorry - I just have too much to do and organise, so I didn't manage to organise our "last Friday / month Meeting" in March.

You as Yahoo Group subscribers are informed 1st -
the "lazy lot" from my own email list will be informed as well, but later.

Actually I consider to retire from my post as chairman of the Cambridge Inter-Faith Group. I'd love to see people with commitment and enthusiasm emerge and demonstrate active interest in our group.. but I am still waiting to hear
- maybe from you?

Reminders:

  • YOU can post Inter-Faith messages here yourself now.
  • You may find some really interesting events on my "Rainbow Network Cambridge" - please check
    www.rainbow-cambridge.org.uk/events/EVENTS.HTM
  • it may happen that more than one email (includes posted documents) per day is sent - if you don't like it, you can change your settings to "Daily digest"
  • for the time being I will keep emailing important messages as well via my ntl account e-list.
If you do not want to receive double messages, please reply to my other e-mail and ask to be removed from that list

Please forgive me, should this new Yahoo Group is not run smoothly - I am still learning to be a Yahoo Group Owner. You are more than welcome to let me know, if you have any helpful hints for organising this Group better!

I am on the ball re. our spring "Faith Fair" (no date yet - sorry)
and like to encourage you to come forward with suggestions re. our next faith group visit and also themes / speakers for the last Friday / month Meetings.

Re posting sent out yesterday re. MEDITATION retreat on 28 April 2007

Sorry although you may have realised the mistake. The paragraph near
top gave
a Sept 29 date, it should be 27th April of course.

So para. SHOULD read:-
"Bhante Bodhidhamma will also give his annual talk here the evening

Society. All welcome, come along to meet us then if you are unsure

Fri 27th April: GNOSTIC TRINITY AND GOSPEL - talk by Rajinder Nijjhar, Oxford, with discussion, 7:45 for 8pm

The Cambridge Inter-Faith Group (www.cam.net.uk/home/interfaith) invites all interested. Here is what Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar writes - be ready for mind stretching surprises tonight:
Gnostic is derived from Gnosis, spiritual knowledge. Spiritual knowledge demands upon the conceptual power of the person and such persons are rare to come across. Most people read Books and they learn some thing but not complete.
A true Gnostic learns spiritual things through intuition and he uses logical reasoning to dig out the Treasures of God buried in the Field of Knowledge.
Gnostics are "seekers" of religious knowledge and we take no one for his word. We believe each individual receives "His Word" through "grace of God". Our Discussions are open minded and friendly. Meetings are open to all and they are "FREE". For a taste of Gnosticism, visit my web site: www.nijjhar.freeserve.co.uk/sikhism.htm
[Rajinder Nijjhar has also posted some Documents on this YahooGroups web page]
In 1993, I published my first Book entitled "FIRST GNOSTIC PRINCIPLES OF ONE GOD ONE FAITH" and last year one in Punjabi on Christianity/Sikhism. In fact Sikhism is continuation of Christianity and I can explain this in details. Satguru (Christ) Nanak Dev Ji was the Second coming of Christ.
In Gnosticism, we explain things from the very first basic principles that need not impose your views upon others.
Gospel is not for every body but for those who are pre-destined and such people are independent thinkers or solitary.

Hi Ralph,

There is a news group who is exposing this false Islam and it seems to be Turkish language.

Here is a news group that is worth joining as they are exposing Islam of Mohammed.  They seem to be Turkish but I am not sure.

I just uploaded a file:-

This file is my modified talk at your place
and they posted a picture of Mohammed as a pig writing Quran.  I attach that one.

People seems to be fed up with this Islam in the west.

Pass this on to others.  It was posted by the group today and you would see that in their messages called:-

tersinggung....?

hello all Inter-Faith friends around Cambridge,

Now you can reply directly to the senders of web/mail postings.
Thanks to your previous feedback and experiences so far I decided that this option is best:

E.g.:  David wants to tell you, that he is co-ordinating this year's Faith Fair on 24th June:  you can reply directly to him now, if he posts this message on this Yahoo Group.

If you want to reply to the whole Group, you  just post a new message to all.

You can also add your events on the Calendar (see left box).

I like to encourage you to use the "Rich Text Editor (Beta)":
you can make headlines, bold text, underline, coloured font,
choose different fonts, big and smaller

  • bullet lists etc...

much easier to read for the others!

Ralph

PS: I deleted previous postings related to the changed settings ("reply to all")

Hi Ralf and David,

Thanks for inviting me to lead a discussion on Trinity and I sent the same Table to a Baptist Minister who has written over 70 Books and he appreciated very much.  That was my wage for giving the lecture.

I would not have earned the Wage if you had not invited me.  It is under remarks.JPG

Gnostics are "seekers" of religious knowledge
and we take no one for his word.
We believe each individual receives "His Word"
          through "grace of God".

Our Discussions are open minded and friendly.

Meetings are open to all and they are "FREE".

"Why should I fast, what sin have I committed and
Why should I pray, what wrong have I done".

southern Spain. We are in the early stages of planning an interfaith
pilgrimage next year 2008 to Southern Spain. Taking in Cordoba and
Toledo. Three great places of tolerance during the rule of the
Umayyads.

We have a web site www.cruztours.com. please let us have your feedback
and comments if youe are interested.

hello all,
sorry, it's half term and I'll be away - so I decided to cancell our
last Friday /month meeting in May.

The next big event will be our interfaith Fair on Sunday 24th June -
unless someone organises an inter-faith visit in June?

There are still some places left!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sacred Exhibition: Books of Judaism, Christianity and Islam

When: Monday 18th June, 11am-5pm

Cost: £5 including transport to and from London, and admission to
exclusive talks

Booking: Due to restrictions, a maximum of 40 people can be
accommodated, please book early to avoid disappointment.

Please email cuff@... to book your place.
This trip is open to all.

Cambridge University Faiths Forum invites you to the Sacred Exhibition
at the British Library in the heart of London. Join people from other
faiths to explore over 200 of the rarest and oldest texts, manuscripts
and objects from their faith. This trip is subsidised by CUFF and
includes exclusive talks on articles within the exhibitions and will
also be an oppertunity to hear about 'Scriptural Reasoning' a
programme we hope to take on under CUFF wherein we will explore the
sacred texts of different religions to try to understand the richness
and depth of each of the faiths.

The British Library's acclaimed new exhibition "Sacred" will run until
September 23rd and brings together, for the first time, some of the
oldest and most beautiful texts of Judaism, Christianity and Islam,
set out side by side. In their wonderful calligraphy, illumination and
textual development, you can see the extraordinary ways in which they
have celebrated the wonder of the sacred word. The exhibit emphasises
the critical value of re-examining the books of Jews, Christians and
Muslims, as well as some of their traditions and customs, for a fuller
understanding of all three peoples.

There is an annual tradition of celebrating the Summer Solstice in
Cambridge with a circle dance - suitable for people of all faiths - at
Cherry Hinton Park, Cambridge, tomorrow Thursday, 21st June at 6.30am.

NO knowledge of circle dancing is required, the simple steps will be
demonstrated and musical accompaniment provided (with amazing
contributions from the local birdlife too). Last about 1 hour, followed
by a shared breakfast, if you have time to stay, and yet more dancing
after breakfast if you should still feel not yet quite uplifted enough
to face the day!

More information at: www.CHEAL.org/message/637

Summer Solstice Blessings!
