In Memoriam Schemes   Message List

Over the past 6 years or so a lot of charities set up or commissioned
In Memoriam schemes, in the wake of Whitewater's "Our Lasting Tribute".

Some used outsourced systems, whilst many set up their own in-house
schemes.

As I go around I get different reflections on how these are going and
would like to have something a bit more definitive. A lot of people,
myself included, found them hard to sustain after the initial setting
up and first "flourish" by the next of kin/friends/colleagues.

Are any of you happy to share with me how your In Memoriam initiative
is working out? If they're going well, what do you do to keep the
momentum up? If they haven't gone well, what were the problems you
perceived in running them?

This is not a request in order to set up something new or begin a
business pitch, I'm just interested to see what has happened to the
idea, which, at the time it first came out, was really innovative.

Cheers

Graham
