The most recent edition of Caritas magazine includes an article by myself on the
relationship between legacy fundraising and legacy admin coming out with some
interesting
views on what works and what does not. If you've got a copy, see page 34. If
you haven't, I
hope to be able to reproduce the article before long on the LMG Yahoo Group
board.

Hi Crispin – if this is the article in the recent smee and ford publication – then you make excellent points, thank you.  This chimes with thinking we are doing here – and will be very useful to me in converting colleagues to the cause!

If the article is different – I’d love to see it please!

All

Hi, new to the group so apologies if you have already discussed, but there was a great Legacy pullout in Saturday’s Daily Telegraph.

Regards

Frank.

Dear Colin and other enquirers,

My article in Smee & Ford's Codicil magazine is on the need for feedback on
legacies to
family, executors and to solicitors; whilst that in Caritas magazine is on the
inter-
relationship of legacy fundraising and admin. Whichever it was that you read,
Colin, thanks
for the compliment!

I have already given away my free Caritas copies, and I am embargoed from
distributing the
article by itself until next month, when I shall be putting it on the Legacy
Link website
www.legacy-link.co.uk and will try to remember to mention it again here, if the
moderators
deem that OK.

Kind regards,
Crispin

Thanks – I shall look forward to seeing the Caritas one.

Interestingly, of course, it is legacy admin teams that hold the key to feedback for family and executors!

Not necessarily. They could let the legacy marketing staff do that once the admin is completed, especially if the marketing people have strong links with supporters, or if the marketing person is also the admin person. Don't fall into the big charity trap, many charities don't have admin teams for legacies, only the big boys!

Cheers

Graham
