Hello MORRSH members,
just had a chat with Ofer from Green N8 and she has received a letter from Haringey Council to Green N8 informing them of a planning pplication put in by Gilmac who own several units on Craford Way and Tottenham Lane, for a new 4 storey factory to be built on empty land to the rear of houses/flats on Rathcoole Ave / Gardens. I haven't had a letter about this - has anyone? They were sent out on 11th April so deadline to reply is around 3rd May (day befroe the elcetions). From a quick look at the planning application, Ofer thinks there will be nise, fumes and dust issues as well as increased traffic etc. I haven't looked at the plans myself yet but if you want to, they are on Haringey's website. The ref no is HGY2006/0722. I'm going to ring the Planning Office tomorrow and request a consultation letter and ask why they haven't sent them to our road.
If we gather more than 25 (ish)
signatures, we could press for a Development Control Forum meeting about this to find out more and question the applicants - this was v useful in the concrete factory application.
If anyone has any more info, maybe we can share it via this group?
Cheers
Frances

Bruno Dore <bruno.dore@...> wrote:Dear all – in addition to the Morrsh meeting on April 28th (more on that later), there are two Safer Neighbourhood meetings coming up, both concerning the Hornsey ward:
Tuesday May 2nd, 7.30pm St.Mary's Junior School, Rectory Gardens, N8. This is a public meeting.
Saturday May 13th, 12noon - 4pm Komkar Kurdish Centre, Birbeck Road, N8. This a “Have Your Say Day”, at which you can go along and have a one-to-one with a member of the Safer Neighbourhood team.
If you get this email twice, it is because I have sent it to both the yahoo group as well as to members’ individual email addresses. This is because I am not sure that the yahoo group is working properly, or how many members have actually joined it.
