I was wondering why
When was this pay and display introduced and where?
Maybe a mass email response if everyone has had the same problem is in
order, although fat lot of good it will likely do. It seems as though they
have planned it very well in order to get a CPZ installed by creating the
demand for it.
Thanks

Dear Resident
CAR PARKING IN CROUCH END: A DEBATE
I write inviting you to participate in a debate about car parking in
Crouch End, to be held on:
Wednesday 10th October, from 6.30pm at
Broadway N8.
The purpose of this debate is to find out whether residents would
favour the Council exploring options for a new controlled parking zone
within Crouch End, given the increasing parking pressures that have
been developing within the neighbourhood in recent months.
As Haringey Council's Cabinet Member for Environment and Conservation
over recent weeks I have been receiving strong representations from
Crouch End residents about the need for new parking measures. The
debate is an opportunity for you and other residents' representatives
to talk with the Council about your perceptions of the parking
stresses within Crouch End. Should the Council now be looking to
introduce a new controlled parking zone? If yes, what might be the
potential boundaries and hours of operation? And within what
geographical area should residents be consulted, taking proper account
of potential displacement? Or are there other potential options the
Council should be addressing? I am keen to hear your views.
Please can you confirm your attendance by contacting Bob Goldsmith -
Haringey Council's Neighbourhood Manager for Crouch End, Hornsey and
Stroud Green -either be phoning 8489 4531 or by emailing
bob.goldsmith@
This will help us plan refreshments.
I look forward to meeting with you on 10th October.
Best wishes
Cllr Brian Haley
Cabinet Member ˆ Environment and Conservation
Haringey Council
