Thanks, I was keen to know as my two children had heard rumours and it's
important to
reassure them with facts rather than speculation. I've since learned that there
was indeed
an anonymous email sent to the Head on Thursday with a threat to abduct a child
- not
any specific child, just a child - so police, Haringey and other agencies have
leapt into
action. You would think it would be fairly easy to trace the computer it was
sent from via IP
addresses but apparently it's a complex procedure. Either way, it sounds like a
prank to
me.
