Ofer – ALL crime should be reported to the police, otherwise they will keep on knocking out these bogus statistics that try to persuade us that crime is falling, when our experiences show the opposite to be the case. This does not mean they will actually do anything. We have this sort of thing in spades up at our allotment site, and the police have proven to be profoundly useless at all times – even when an intruder has been caught red-handed, detained and handed over to them. But I think it is still important to nail the lie that they are “winning” the fight against crime when in fact they have no chance of doing any such thing.

Hi All

I have just discovered that the ‘garden thieves’ are back!!!

An established bottle brush tree/bush(4 years in the ground) was dug up and stolen from our front garden in the last 2 days.

We had a wave of garden theft on Uplands Road about 4, 5 years ago with plants dug up and window boxes stolen.

Did anyone else have experienced of heard of similar incidents?
Do you think I should report it to the police?
