I looked into this a bit when we bought our house at 53 Rathcoole Ave a bit further down from the sub-station. There is mountains of scary material on the web about this but in the end I decided (very scientifically) that we could neither hear nor feel anything nasty and liked the house so we went ahead. So far none of the household has experienced any symptoms............touch wood!

We are in process of buying a house in Rathcoole Avenue close to the substation.We have only just been made aware of health concerns with regard to the radiation field emitted by substations. Are you aware of any steps taken to protect residents from this possible radiation or any other relevant information (or a an organisation we could refer to?We have a child so we are concerned but love the street and house!
