As the sellers of the property in question we obviously have a vested interest,
but it has never bothered us in the 12 years we've lived here, especialy as the
wife of the couple we bought it from had lived here all her life, as had her
parents who died at 90+.
However, one point our buyers' surveyor raised was that the substation building
is looking somewhat uncared for (buddleia taken root on the walls etc) and this
is not normal for a working substation. Now we think about it, we've not seen
anybody visiting for maintenance for a couple of years, so we're wondering if it
has in fact been de-commissioned. Anybody know how we can find out for sure and
what the plans might be?
