We have had the same problems...Trina will have good eating days and bad. One time she would not eat for weeks... no matter what we did and she had to have an IV. Now we switch between lean ground beef, rice and low fat cheese sprinked in her food. Just the smallest amount. She has a cardiac formula food that is prescription, so we just add a little something to it, and she gobbles it up!

my cavalier went into heart failure tuesday; was admitted to the
emergency facility and stayed over one night, released wed a.m....she
ate at the hospital tuesday night..they fed her mighty dog (let's not
go there) but she has not eaten since tuesday night...it's now thursday
afternoon... i took her to the vet this a.m. for blood tests and an x-
ray...x-ray was fine; blood test results will come back later...he gave
her an appetite stimulant shot...that was 4 hours ago...she's still not
eating...oh and she had 2 lose bowel movements yesterday..
i'm losing it...what can i do to get her to eat?
