I just received the following email from Dr. Nancy Kay, author of Speaking for
Spot. I have permission to repost her emails. (And I do recommend her book, if
you haven't read it already!)

Greetings,
I just learned via the Dog Writers Association of America that this evening's
ABC broadcast of Nightline will feature an investigation of puppy mills. The
show will air at 11:35 PM Eastern Standard Time.
According to the information I received,
"ABC Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi and investigators from Nightline travel the
byways and back roads of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania - visiting numerous
puppy mills and filming Main Line Animal Rescue's volunteers as they rescue
breeding dogs and puppies from Lancaster County's notorious Amish commercial
breeding facilities."
As difficult as this kind of stuff is to watch, I encourage you to become
informed and then become an advocate. One less purchase from puppy mills is one
step closer to their extinction. I invite you to share this email with others
you know.
Best wishes,
Nancy Kay, DVM
