Did The New Bay Horse ever have any residents as a Hotel?

Personally, I think The Kingdom was a bigger loss, but what's gone is gone.

The fencing is up at The Commercial too, is it just having a refit?

Another Methley land mark hits the dust and nobody has mentioned it,
Do we really need more houses in Methley? Are there any places at the
local school to accommodate the extra children?
I'd start using the Library more or that will be next to go, there's
a
nice bit of land at the back of there!!!

It's sad, but I think the reality is that it never made enough money
to cover the costs of running a large-ish pub/hotel. I'll miss the
Sunday lunches, which seemed very popular, but every other time I went
for a drink there the place was usually dead. If no-one wants to
drink there, there's no need for a pub I guess. Very sad.
