Re: [MethleyForum] Re: Tracing relative

Hi there,
I don't know about the Appleyards owning the Cedars. Before the Cravens owned
it, the Embletons lived there. The house was divided into three lots of
accommodation, and my Great Uncle Herbert Craven lived in the largest section,
his son Harold lived in another bit, and my Grandpa Ernest Craven lived in the
last section. I remember the Tates lived in part of it after the Cravens, but as
all the older members of my family are now dead and gone (boo-hoo!) things have
to rely on the memory of myself and my younger sister. I was born when the horse
was still an eohippus, so dragging things to the fore is getting much harder.
Regards
Joan C

Hi There,
Didn't the Appleyard family own The Cedars at some point or is my
memory failing me?
The Church Side post office was a haunt of mine when I was a kid but
the sweet selection wasn't very big, so If there was a cricket match
on Mrs Micklefield would do the honours.
