I am happy to report several updates to the New Testament Gateway
(NTGateway.com):

Historical Jesus (http://NTGateway.com/Jesus):

- Paul J. Achtemeier, "Is the New Quest Docetic?" (an interesting article
commenting on the so-called "new quest" when it was "new", from _Theology
Today_, 1962)

- M.-É. Boismard o.p., "In What Year Was Jesus Born?" (brief article available
in French and English at the Ecole Biblique site)

- Robert J. Miller, "Can the Historical Jesus be Made Safe for
Orthodoxy?" (a review article on Ben Witherington III's work on the
historical
Jesus, written by an important member of the Jesus Seminar).

Methods (http://www.ntgateway.com/resource/hermeneutics.htm)

- Cain Hope Felder, "Blacks in the Bible and in Biblical Lands"
(a fascinating article by a leading African-American scholar)

There are more updates to come over the next week. You may have noticed
that the re-design and re-structuring of the site is well underway. Just over
half
the site has been updated so far. Let us know what you think of the new
design and structure as we continue to implement it over the next week. As
you will see, it is a development of the design we have had since April last
year, but the major difference is the grouping together of some of the resources
to allow for further expansion and greater ease of use to the end-user. Given
the continued expansion of the site, we have promoted the "Search" facility to
the top of the new pages.

Renewed thanks for your encouragement and support. Please continue to
send in any suggestions for fresh links and to report any broken ones, or let me
know what you would like to see on the site. And don't forget to purchase any
of your books through the site to help us to continue to invest in the New
Testament Gateway in the future.
