Since last writing to you all, the appalling events of September 11
have been on all of our minds. As one very small way of doing
something, we have added links on the New Testament Gateway to
the American Red Cross (https://www.redcross.org/) so that you
can find out how you can help.

It has been a busy month on the New Testament Gateway and
many new links have been added. If you haven't visited recently,
the Logbook (http://www.ntgateway.com/logbook.htm) provides
details of the changes. And while I have been adding new content,
Viola has continued her work rewriting the code and getting the site
overall validated with the W3C as XHTML 1.0. The advantages of
this are that the site becomes far more compatible across different
browsers and makes it much easier for us to update.

It's the beginning of a new month and the latest edition of the
Featured Links page is, as ever, available
(http://www.ntgateway.com/featured). There are three quite varied
Featured Links this month, but they all have one thing in common --
they are elements in much larger web-sites and are contributed by
three individuals who have produced some of the most useful and
extensive materials related to the New Testament on the internet.
Felix Just, S.J. has a new site called E.N.T.E.R. (Electronic New
Testament Educational Resources), ideal for new students. Peter
Kirby continues to add material to his Early Christian Writings site
and has made available the first on-line edition of one of the
classics of New Testament criticism, Albert Schweitzer's The
Quest of the Historical Jesus. And Wieland Willker's new
illustrated web site on Codex Vaticanus is well worth a visit.

If you have missed previous Featured Links, don't worry because
there is a full archive available at
http://www.ntgateway.com/featured/

Please continue to send in your feedback, suggestions for
improvement, notes of broken links and so on -- all gratefully
received.
