December's Featured Links page has just been uploaded to the the New
Testament Gateway. The first featured link this month, Feminae
Romanae: The Women of Ancient Rome, breaks the rules for inclusion
in that it is not a New Testament site. But I have no doubt that it
will be of interest to users of The New Testament Gateway -- I am
sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have. The second featured link for
December is Bible Places.com, which is full of well-produced
photographs of "Bible Places". The third featured link picks up from
November's listing of Bible Database and lists a similar free Bible
programme called E-Sword, an excellent, customizable piece of
software.
November was a good month on the NT Gateway and there were many, many
articles added, pages updated and so on. I've done a good deal more
tidying up of dead URLs too.
It was great to see people in Denver, Colorado at the SBL Annual
Meeting a couple of weeks ago. I'd like to thank those of you who
attended the talk on The New Testament Gateway in the Computer
Assisted Research Section, a summary / outline of which is still
available at http://www.ntgateway.com/sbl.html.
Finally, please forgive me peddling my own wares, but my new book
entitled _The Synoptic Problem: A Way Through the Maze_ is now out
from Sheffield Academic Press / Continuum and I've taken the liberty
of advertising it on the NTGateway, alongside its companion site at:
http://ntgateway.com/maze/
With renewed thanks for the encouragement and the useful feedback on
the New Testament Gateway
