RE: [NVC-EducationUK] Powerpoint about using Rewards in school

Thank you Jack - I have now accessed the Rewards powerpoint and may well ask Mark's permission to use this material at some point later in the year.

On a related point I have recently come across some materials called 'Motivating the Teenage Mind' which may be of interest and the website link is copied here

Subject: [NVC-EducationUK] Powerpoint about using Rewards in school

My colleague Mark Adams (Educational Psychologist) is working with a
school to examine how staff support pupil motivation. He has produced
a powerpoint about the use of rewards. Influenced by my telling him
about NVC and by Alfie Kohn's book, Punished by Reward. Mark has also
looked for other mainstream psychology evidence.

I thought this might interest group members.

I've uploaded the file to the "Files" section of this group.

(I forgot to edit one of his abbreviations: FCB = Free Choice
Behaviour.i.e. how the child behaves when the rewards removed )
