anyways, decided to join this as i have just finished (are they ever
finished?) my first new rod. i have a couple of small mods to make in
the next week, a 170mm crank and a pair of flat-trap pedals. but here
is a link to a decent picture of it:

i started building it late Dec after the frame arrived all the way
from sunny Florida via customs scrutiny. whenever i had a bit of spare
cash/remembered to buy bits i'd get another part, some worked better
than others hence a nice box of spare usful bits now :)

today i took it out for the first real ride, a smooth 6 mile cruise.
handles well and is very comfy. i had a BB nut spin off at about 2
miles out but i had a few tools on me, so no worries.

any comments about my design welcome. as i hope i am. ;)
