here's a picture of my cheaply converted cruiser. i am currently
waiting for some engineered parts so i can convert it to a 1-1/8"
ahead due to the stem insert being a 21mm and not a 22.2mm and i'll be
able to use a decent bar clamp then. the parts i scavanged from my
bits bin were:
odyssey Y bars, odyssey hex crank, new sealed BB set, odyssey black
widow 43T sprocket, diamondback flat-trap alloy pedals, steel bar
clamp (modded), brass valve convertors, removed vast chain guard. led
rear light.
the rest of the bike is still factory standard schwinn cruiser. it
makes for a nice riding cheap urban street machine. it is my daily
ride to work bike now. i think i'm developing my own design style.
ps: why does nobody sell 1" to 7/8" bar shims??? thank grud for stella
beer tins -haha-
