Hey guys,
Back from crazy ass Amsterdam. The weekend was a bit of a fuzz. You
know sex drugs and rock and roll... I haven't still realized that it
has already been 10 days since the show.
Well, my report...
After an all night party for friends that were leaving, there was a
4am start. Not a good time to get all responsible and shit. Me and me
boy Chunky spent a lot of time on our rides in the last 6 months.
Thank god for my homies Kevin, Ian and my brother visiting from LA, ,
they pretty much towed us all the way to Amsterdam.
Though, I at least realized in my chemically induced fever that
anything that wasn't ny-locked on my bike would probally fall off
during our drive to Holland (and it did). Though the biggest problem
was only the side bits of the air foil, it did still gutt me.
Arrived at campsite about 4pm in the afternoon, completely missed
afternoon cruise but arrivals of bikes were still coming in and they
were rolling in. I mean some of the coolest rides on the planet.
France, Germany, Canada, Australia, US were represented . Besides the
host's the boys from Britain brought most of the creations.
About the bikes...
If you guys go through the photos :
http://www.streetfighter.name/diashows/FBI2005/gallery.html
There were at least a couple of hundred bikes there. And none of them
were stock. From mild to wild... You guys gotta check them out, there
are hundreds of ideas laid in there. From full frame customs,
paintwork, upholstery, suicide shifters, wheel combos, rear air foils.
haha, etc...
Besides all the magnificient work that went out on all these rides, I
would say about a dozen bikes were highlights for myself.
London Si, represented well with his 50's style bikerod with massive
white wall and red wheels, firebike frame , tractor sized seat, and to
top it all off that great pinstriping he did at the show.
London matt black ,
Repped with his incredible dark purple, bike machine... The things
that went through his head when he was building this creation. If we
see things like this coming, than this scene is going to be incredible.

The dutch guys,
Well, the biker bros Olef and Elven. Repped with their twin creations,
these guys are hard core motor chopper builders in South Holland. They
thought they would just show the rest of us how to really build a bike
and they did. I bow to these guys... These guys nearly made every
piece on there bikes, forks, handle bars, frame, and even there own
143 spoke wheels. They can even have these off the assembly line in a
few weeks for the tune of 2900 euros. Tempting! Tempting! Tempting!
Joris Rockx, his beautifully sculpted artistic copper masterpiece.
With his spoke insprired, physics defying crank, wonderfully
proportioned frame, it was really easy to look at this challenging
frame. Check out his site with pics of his bikes. www.rockx.net
The boys from Chopperdome,
Coolest chopper shop I have ever been in and we have alot of these
shops in LA. They even have there own bar downstairs. They seemed to
absord the kick back culture of the pacific coast and melt their
Amsterdam style into such a creation. They've made it their style!!!
Also they have the coolest bros in there building mad bikes. Speak to
Fish or Rolf if you are ever in there. Tell them to pimp your bike
out!!! www.chopperdome.com
Overally , the trip was really to myself the culmination of all the
hard, passionate, energy that I had put in the last 6 months. It
rewarded well and I am looking forward to next year. I hope a lot of
you boys will also see the true energy the scene has at this moment.
We just need to help each other out...
Keep cruisin...
