Hello all,

Thank you for establishing this group and allowing me to join.

I am working on a description of Palaeoxyris specimens from the Triassic of
North America.
There has been a long standing controversy as to the affinites of this fossil.
Some argue plant
and others beleive they are some kind of shark egg cases. It seems that the
material I am
working on may be the only Mesozoic occurences in North America. The only other
Mesozoic
species I know of are P. regularis P. muensteri, and P. duris all from Europe
and Asia.

I was wondering if anyone in the group knows of any other Mesozoic occurences
other than
the questionable Cretaceous species P. jugleri.

Also, does anyone in the group have any strong opinions one way or the other
regarding the
affinities of Palaeoxyris? I would like to hear about them.

Thanks in advance

If you mean Palaeoxyris, No, I did not work with this eggshell and did not hear about the specimen. KM -- Best regards, Konstantin Mikhailov ...
