I totally agree with you that a publication such as proceedings about palaeo-oology is more than necessary. Also there is a journal that would automatically welcome our publication without a problem.
Recent publications on eggshells are focussed on linking dinosaurs and birds, without taking in consideration biomineralisation processes, it is quite frustating how 40-50 years of work is marginalised because of politics, grants ...Whatever!
I am pretty sure that a cladistic analyses including modern and fossil eggshells, biomineralisation and physiological processes is compatible and will produce a better evolutionary view of the evolution of
eggs.
